Director, Human Resources

PSA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AGENCY IS A TOBACCO-FREE WORKPLACE AND DOES NOT HIRE TOBACCO USERS.


In 1971, PSA Behavioral Health Agency, opened its doors to the elderly seriously mentally ill population of South Phoenix. Forty-seven years later, there is staff of 200+ at 20+ locations serving over 3,000 youth, adults and families annually with a variety of services in seven counties throughout Arizona.

We are looking to bring on board a highly productive Director for a very high volume department.

Job Summary

Senior leadership liaison for all workforce engagement and cultural development

Educate leaders and employees on PSA performance management program

Provide coaching and support to leaders to ensure employees are managed in a way that ensures client deliverables are met

Implement employee relations and team-based initiatives including training, leadership development and compensation to support strategic goals

Conduct investigations into employee concerns. Resolve issues for others to build and expand leadership capabilities that address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment.

Proactively collects, analyzes, and interprets data on labor activity to include internal surveys, monitoring external labor trends and threats, and translating into actionable information that can be used to establish strategies that result in a positive approach to improve the working environment for all employees.

Responsible for ensuring policy and procedures are consistently updated and reported to all employees

Oversee compliance for FMLA, ADA, OSHA practices

Due to our healthcare funding this requires high compliance tracking of all staff. You will ensure compliance with all regulations and contractual requirements.

Other special projects as required.

Requirements:

Current PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP or willing to obtain within a 6 month period.

Minimum Associate’s degree in human resources, business, or any human service discipline

Minimum five years of human resource experience.

Experience with Paylocity, helpful but not required.

Current valid AZ driver’s license.

Five-year MVD Report that meets the agency’s auto insurance carrier’s coverage requirements.

Have or willing to obtain fingerprint clearance card within 60 days of hire date

Travel out of town driving with overnight stays required - 5% to 7% only.

Knowledge of:

Health or Behavioral health operations

Principles and practices of effective human resources management and personnel administration.

Federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to personnel.

Computer literacy using Microsoft products and HRIS related software.
